Agatha Award Winners

 

The Agatha Awards were established in 1989. Malice Domestic is an annual convention in Metropolitan Washington, DC., saluting "mysteries of manners", books best typified by the works of Agatha Christie. The mystery genre is loosely defines as mysteries which contain no explicit sex nor excessive gore or violence; and features an amateur detective (usually), a confined setting, and characters who know one another. This award is given for books published in the previous calender year. Listed below are the best novel awards. There are also Agatha awards given for best first mystery novel, best short story and best nonfiction.
