Golden Hearts Outreach
Keeping the mind and heart open to the joys of reading
Golden Hearts Outreach Services provide delivery of materials to your residence (private or institutional) if you are medically unable to visit the library. Your personal delivery will be made on a two week rotating schedule.
A homebound service provider will make contact before the first delivery to obtain reading, listening and viewing preferences, and schedule future deliveries.
Other Outreach Services
Special Outreach services to schools without in-house libraries and special units within the public schools (Opportunity Center, Child Development classes, etc).
Talking Book Library Service by mail from the state library services. Please contact your local library for assistance with paperwork or phone calls.
Special topics programs or storytelling upon request for civic groups and organizations; two week notice, please.
Public speakers for groups and organizations concerning various aspects of the libraries' services (general overview, readers' advisory / book reviews, local history or genealogy, organization and fiscal management of the library).
Additional cooperative efforts with other community agencies.
